Taste of Home is an intimate documentary following multiple Turkish refugee from different generations who sustain their lives in the United States through cooking. Unable to return to Turkey after the July 15 coup attempt, they share migration stories shaped by exile, loss, and resilience while preparing traditional dishes in their own kitchens. As handmade yufka transforms into distinct meals, food becomes a language of memory, survival, and care. Through culinary rituals and personal narration, the film reveals how cooking preserves cultural identity, sustains families, and creates solidarity among women rebuilding lives far from home.
